Intensive Intervention Therapist

Department: CIS
Location: Wilmington, NC

Coastal Horizons Center is seeking three full-time Intensive Intervention Therapists to join a new Crisis Intervention Services (CIS) program in New Hanover County. These are office-based positions providing trauma-informed, evidence-based clinical services to individuals.

Schedule: Full-Time

Program: Community Intervention Services (CIS)


Required Educational/Experiental Qualifications:

  • Graduation from a Master’s degree program in clinical psychology, counseling, or social work.
  • NCSAPPB Licensure as a LCAS/LCASA; or LPA, or LCMHC/LCMHCA, LCSWA/LCSW

We are building a diverse clinical team and are seeking therapists with an interest in serving the following populations: Candidates are encouraged to indicate their preferred population(s) when applying. This will help us match clinicians with the role that best aligns with their experience and interests.

Position Highlights

  • Office-based position in New Hanover County
  • Provide individual clinical interventions using evidence-based and trauma-informed practices
  • Utilize approaches such as Motivational Interviewing, EMDR, and other therapeutic modalities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and support positive client outcomes
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
  • Participate in program development and continuous quality improvement initiatives

Training & Start Date

Selected candidates must be available to attend required training during the week of August 25. While attendance at training is required, there is flexibility with the full-time start date for candidates who need additional time to transition from their current employer.
