Outpatient Telehealth Therapist- Mobile Clinic

Department: Outpatient Treatment Services
Location: Shallotte, NC

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed or Associate Licensed Professional to provide independent diagnostic evaluations and counseling services to individuals facing mental health and co-occurring disorders. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive care to clients of all ages within rural communities, addressing their unique challenges and promoting mental wellness.

Location: This is a remote position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct independent diagnostic and psycho-social evaluations (Comprehensive Clinical Assessments) to identify client needs.
  • Perform in-depth clinical interviews to assess psycho-social and substance use history.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and provide counseling services ranging from crisis intervention to managing emerging personality disorders.
  • Address collateral issues such as financial challenges, medical concerns, and behavioral problems impacting client well-being.
  • Coordinate with schools, employers, and community partners to support client treatment, ensuring appropriate consent is obtained.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatric providers, peer support specialist, and community partners to coordinate comprehensive care.
  • Work directly with the mobile clinic coordinator to receive referrals.
  • Understanding of transportation challenges and limited access to services in rural areas.
  • Utilize telehealth options while ensuring technology is accessible and user-friendly.
  • Recognize and respect diverse cultural backgrounds and beliefs that may influence treatment approaches.
  • Engage in community outreach to reduce stigma surrounding mental health and promote service awareness.

Target Population:

  • Individuals and families in Bladen, Columbus, and Brunswick Counties experiencing mental health and/or co-occurring disorders.
  • All age groups, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with diverse populations and understanding of rural community dynamics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and community partners.
  • Strong skill set in working with virtual platforms

REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduation from an accredited program with a Master’s degree in a human services or related field and two years of progressive substance use and/or mental health counseling experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possession of North Carolina licensure as one of the following: LCSWA, LCSW, LMCHMA, LCMHC, LPA, LCAS
